Yesterday, 28 amazing women started their path to becoming Alpha Chi Omega sisters from the Omega chapter at Washington State University. Whether it was 6 years ago, 16 years ago, or even 60 years ago that you first walked into 735 NE Monroe Street, those same bonds of sisterhood remain available to you.

The ROI Sister: I can go to events without being a member, so why should I join?
Good point! Sigma Psi Sigma makes an effort to create a welcoming community open to all AXO alumnae. The membership fees cover much more than events.
Your membership fees enable us to cover Headquarter dues per person, create a fund for philantrophic activities, cover expenses such as the subscription for this web site, the mailing costs for those New Years postcards, and Hall of Commitment gifts. And much more! Join us and help fund a great sisterhood!
The Geographic Sister: I don't live in Washington, so why should I join?
Sigma Psi Sigma is home to sisters located in 13 states! And, we're proud to say that we've had events in Washington, Oregon, Nevada, and Arizona. We've had events in 14 cities. Also, from a virtual point of view we love sharing stories about our sisters around the nation through our Blog, Instagram, and Facebook. It's a great way to stay in touch with sisters and stay connected.
We're working on more virtual events and we plan to have more events in the Phoenix area now that one of our Planning Sisters relocated to Scottsdale. Join us and find an event that speaks to you!
The Introverted Sister: I'm not really a big group person, so why should I join?
Our number one goal is a provide a community where all sisters feel welcomed. We get it. Some people draw energy from smaller environments. Some people draw energy from crowds. As a mix of introverts and extroverts, we won't let you feel isolated at any event. We have small events - less than 6 people and large events - upwards of 30 people. For that one on one connection, use our social media as an excuse to reach out to someone you haven't spoken to in years.
In a recent email from HQ, they shared that Pew Research Center reported 1 in 6 Americans say they feel lonely or isolated from those around them all or most of the time. We strive to create a community to combat lonlieness and enable connections. Join us and make more friends and strengthen existing relationships!
The Age Sensitive Sister: Isn't this just a bunch of old ladies? So why should I join?
Yes! And No! Some of us are getting blephs, knee replacements, and AARP subscriptions. Some of us have young kids at home. Some of us are starting grad school. We have members of every age group and we love it! As they say, Age is just a number. Join us and find inspiration at all ages!
The Goal
This year marks the first time we've established a membership goal. After thoughtful deliberation, we're thrilled to set a target of 100 members for the Sigma Psi Sigma alumnae chapter.
With 84 members for the 2025-2026 term, reaching a total of one hundred members appears to be an attainable and remarkable goal!
