Connecting Omega Alumnae with Omega Seniors

Our Director of Alumnae Relations, the one and only Alexa Murphy (a Junior at Omega), came up with a great idea to connect Omega alumnae with Omega seniors. She's created the beginnings of an Omega Alumnae directory of that not only lists info found on the AXO HQ web site but lets alumnae share their Major/Minor/Degrees. This is very helpful for the collegian who wants to connect with an alumnae with similar education. Also this directory allows alumnae to include information about their current role and company. If you were on our Career Series call last week; you may remember that Angie Wright had the same suggestion!
This unique directory can give the seniors a great view into what life after graduation looks like in the short term as well as the long term. Some of us are recent grads and some of us are either retired or getting ready for retirement. We cover the career spectrum!
As a side note, Melinda Gates just posted about the importance of advising recent grads to be open to different paths. Who would have thought my English degree in 1987 would have opened a door to work for Paul Allen (co-founder of Microsoft) in a 12 person office and led me to a career in high tech? I bet many of you have similar stories to share!
Ready to join the Omega Directory? We have 17 seniors and even more Juniors who can't wait to meet you! Click the button below to be connected to the Google Sheet.
Alternatives to Violence Says Thank You

Thank you to everyone who celebrated Hera Day and spent their Saturday building Birthday Boxes for Alternatives to Violence in the Palouse.
We received this lovely email from them on Monday:
Thank you so much for the festive birthday boxes. They are so cheerful and are very popular! Your thoughtful gift provides the means to not only recognize birthdays, but also to provide a bit of fun during difficult times.
We very much appreciate your thinking of us in this way.
Kind Regards,
ATVP
Monthly Dinners - Up Next: Tacoma and Spokane
It's been a blast getting together and sharing a meal! So far this year we've held dinners in Issaquah, Portland, and Seattle. Next month we have a big group of Omega alums heading to Tacoma to enjoy lunch at Duke's with our Tacoma Alumnae sisters. The following Saturday, we're heading to the Eastern part of the state to enjoy dinner in Omegas in Spokane. RSVP Evite or respond to this email!
Who is Empowers Change? Omega!
When Omega chose to partner with the Lauren McCluskey Foundation in January, they were inspired to spread the word about the Foundation's mission to improve campus safety.
Fast forward to today, and the Lauren McCluskey Foundation is not only working with Omega; but they've been chosen as the non-profit for the University of Utah's AXO Chapter. The Beta Nu chapter embraced LMF for Healthy Relationships Week. Additionally, the University of Washington's Rho chapter is looking for ways to engage LMF into their Philanthropy activities. Want more? WSU Panhellenic, Interfraternity Council, and the Multicultural Greek Council chose the Lauren McCluskey Foundation to recieve all funds raised during Greek Week.
Check out The Lauren McCluskey Foundation website and see how many photos you can find of Alpha Chi's doing great work!
Thank you to our Career Series Panelists

A huge thank you goes out to our panelists: Kristin Behrend (Omega MC94), Lisa Holman (Omega ~MC94), Kristen McConnell (Mom of Kennedy McConnell MC22), Cheri Oz (Friend of Emma Underwood (MC21)'s Mom, and Angie Wright (Omega).
